Oswego Hospital

A unique challenge for Ridley Electric was to install a new 3000 AMP electric service at the hospital in Oswego, NY. The service, is complete with new switchboard and power feeders connected to new and existing loads. Additionally, Ridley Electric  installed a 3000 AMP emergency switch board and wired it to (3) 600 kW emergency generators and over (30) transfer switches. The project incorporates thousands of feet of conduit and wire to connect it all. The picture at the right is part of the conduit network...

Clinton Square Revitalization

Ridley Electric is proud to have participated in the City of Syracuse Clinton Square Revitalization Project. Our work consisted of outfitting a buried Electric Control vault which powers and controls site lighting year round, the fountain in the summer and the ice rink refrigeration in the winter.

Unique to this project is a Fountain Control PLC panel which was designed and programmed by our Swift Instrumentation Group. This panel can produce up to 200 different fountain “looks” which can mimic music rhythms. If you are ever in downtown Syracuse, check out this Ridley Electric accomplishment.

Carrier-CC-1 Laboratories Relocation Syracuse, NY
The project consisted of 4 distribution systems 480V, 240V, 120V  and 50hz into the plant.  In order to accomplish this task there was extensive outdoor substation work, the installation of a 50hz distribution system from an existing 500 kw, 50 hz motor generator set, and the installation of 3 existing 40 HP motor generator sets along with their associated starters and controls.
The substation work included the relocation of two 1500 kVa, 13.2 kV 480/277 volt outdoor unit substations with primary switches and power breaker secondaries, and the installation of an outdoor double ended substation with two 2 mVa 13.8 kV to 480/277 volt transformers, primary switches, and secondary breaker sections.
These substations were fed with two 15kV interlocked armor overhead cables in an outdoor trestle system built by Ridley Electric that spanned over 700 ft.  The inside work consisted of an elaborate cable tray system for Carriers low voltage systems, consisting of over 2,600 ft. of cable tray.  The tray system extends to panel boards, switchboards, MCC section and bus ducts for various electrical equipment.
From these distribution centers we extended over 30,000 ft. of conduit, 16,000 ft. of 500 MCM interlocked armor cable and 67,000 ft of wire to relocated test stands, cranes and mechanical equipment. The Ridley Electric Team performed all of this work in four months to meet Carrier deadline dates.

 Anheuser-Busch, Jacksonville Fla.
This is an ongoing project that includes many facets. One is the removal of three existing depalletizers and installation of three new depalletizers,  while maintaining current operations.  This job required the modification of interfacing equipment and the upgrade of  all existing computer controls, fiber optic communications, and conveyor modification, again, while keeping the brewery 100% operational.

Another part of the project required powering and controlling three remote 1000' deep wells, Two one million gallon storage tanks, the Bioway Waste Control system (imported from Sweden) and connecting automatic  pH & chlorination monitor and adjustment systems.

Installation of wiring, tubing, and Flex IO controls for hundreds of other valves and devices, motors and nano filters is also being completed

This  project will provide all the water necessary for brewery operations.
